Your Month With Us
Course Duration & Faculty
Our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training runs for 4 weeks, allowing for time to absorb the program and have a few days off for expeditions or activities together on this beautiful island.
The training will begin with a traditional Balinese ceremony where you will meet our team and your fellow students.
All our faculty are based in Bali. Each training is led by our main teachers, with visiting experts in anatomy, Ayurveda, and the business of yoga. Supported by our course coordinator and studio team, we create a welcoming environment and deliver high-quality training that sets us apart.
Graduation & Yoga Alliance Certification
Yoga is not a competition. As long as you attend all 200 hours and do your best, you will graduate. We have weekly revision tests and encourage all students to teach an open class with fellow students to complete your training. Then, at the end of the final week, we will all enjoy a graduation dinner and a photo shoot together.
Language Support
The course is taught in English, however our team will provide extra support for foreign language students if needed. We have graduated many French, German, Japanese and other students with limited English because our team will take the time to assist all we can.
Our Location:
At the Beach
Our purpose-built, eco-friendly bamboo studio is one of a kind, right on the beach in the peaceful village of Sanur. A second studio is dedicated to our training students, and both are fully equipped with mats, blocks, straps, and audio-visuals for lectures. We also have a lounge area, juice bar, tea house, and treatment rooms surrounded by a lush garden. Just steps away, explore local markets, temples, and beachside cafes, and experience Bali as it truly is — calm, authentic, and welcoming.
Meal Options
The YTT includes a nourishing breakfast consisting of seasonal fresh fruit with homemade yogurt and premium granola, served at the shala during the breakfast break on training days. You can also choose between a coffee or a tea to enjoy with your meal.
There are plenty of healthy and delicious dining options nearby. Just 50 m from the studio, our partners at Genius Café offer 20% off for our students. Set right on the beach, they serve fresh Western and Asian dishes, with vegan and gluten-free options, nourishing elixirs, and great coffee. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed — a favorite hangout for entrepreneurs and digital nomads enjoying ocean views, acoustic music, and fast Wi-Fi.
For lunch, our team can recommend or arrange healthy meals from nearby restaurants that deliver on time for your lunch break. Most evenings, students love exploring the village to discover Sanur’s many cozy and affordable dinner spots.

Customer Reviews
I HIGHLY recommend PONO to anyone who is being called to do a YTT.
It was an amazing experience that I will hold close to my heart forever. PONO is an such an amazing location and the girls who work there take such good care of you. You truly feel like a family here. All of the classes were amazing. You can really tell how passionate the teachers are and they truly put their heart and soul into what they do. The website and insta make it seem too good to be true but it is even better in person!
A Life-Changing Journey of Personal Transformation Through Yoga...
From the first yoga class I took at the Power of Now Oasis shala, to the last class, and every moment in between were all part of a comprehensive physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual journey of personal transformation through yoga teachings and training that were life changing. Each yoga teacher I was blessed to participate in one of their classes, brought a level of skills, expertise and experience that impressed me. My two primary yoga instructors for the YTT 200 course, were both phenomenal in their individual and collective teaching approach and I feel confident everything I learned and experienced from them about yoga will not only serve me well, but allow me to serve others at a high level of understanding and awareness of the sacred importance and significance of sharing yoga with others.
From Practice to Purpose: A Deeply Transformative YTT in Sanur
I came to Sanur, Bali, to deepen my yoga practice and learn how to teach, but I left with far more than I expected. The 200-hour training at Power of Now Oasis was not only comprehensive and in-depth, but truly transformative. Krishna, Sheryl, and Victoria are impassioned, brilliant teachers who brought wisdom, humanity, humor, and deep insight into a well-balanced schedule—intense yet digestible. Many programs condense training into three weeks, but the four-week structure here allowed for a richer, more integrated experience. I’m deeply grateful for the knowledge I gained, the connections I formed, and the unforgettable memories we created. This experience has prepared me to step into the next phase of my life—sharing my passion, skills, and newfound understanding with my community back in San Francisco. Forever grateful to my teachers and fellow students for creating a space where we could learn, grow, fall, and rise together.
More Than Just Asanas: A Transformative Yoga Journey in Bali
I decided to do the yoga teacher training (200h) at Power of Now Oasis in Sanur, Bali. The training took place in a bamboo shala right on the beach. It was a breathtaking place to practice yoga. The training was very comprehensive and structured. The focus was on Hatha Flow and Vinyasa Flow Yoga. We also learned the basics of Yin Yoga. Other content included history, philosophy, yoga ethics, anatomy, teaching methods, lesson preparation, asana alignment, asana practice, pranayama and meditation, Thai massage, acro yoga, yoga nidra, yogic techniques, chakra, singing bowls, Ayurveda, etc. I realized that yoga is much more than just practicing asanas, it is more of a holistic teaching or way of life. The yoga teachers are experienced, authentic, warm and supportive in every situation. A 30-minute meditation early in the morning followed by a guided yoga practice in hatha flow, vinyasa flow or yin yoga was a good start to the day. This allowed me to get to know different teacher personalities and styles and develop my own teaching style. The training was a very transformative experience for me. I felt very comfortable from day one and learned a lot about myself. During the 4 weeks of the training everything just fell into place and I will never forget this time. Thank you very much 🙂

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Details you might be wondering about
What makes Power of Now Oasis different from other yoga schools in Bali?
Power of Now Oasis is a semi-nonprofit yoga studio with a beachfront location in Sanur, Bali. Our focus is on small, high-quality trainings (maximum 20 students) with an experienced teaching team. Unlike larger training centers, we emphasize a personalized and supportive environment where students form meaningful connections.
Additionally, profits help fund local community initiatives, making your training an opportunity to give back while you learn.
Do I need a certain level of experience to join the training?
Our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) is open to all dedicated yoga practitioners, including beginners. However, since it is an intensive training, having some regular yoga practice beforehand will help you feel more comfortable with the physical aspects.
That said, the most important qualities are interest, motivation, and dedication, we’ve had students who started their yoga journey during the course! While the training is designed to support all levels, it will be challenging, both physically and mentally, so we encourage beginners to come with an open mind and a willingness to learn.
We also send a short reading list before the course so you can get familiar with some of the core ideas and arrive feeling more prepared.
To help you get ready and feel comfortable with what’s coming, you’ll also have the opportunity to join as many daily yoga classes as you’d like at our shala, both 2 weeks before and after the training. This is a great way to build confidence and deepen your practice.
What certification will I receive, and is it recognized internationally?
You’ll receive a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate accredited by Yoga Alliance (YA).
This allows you to register with Yoga Alliance if you choose, making you eligible to teach worldwide. Even without YA registration, the certification is widely accepted globally.
Do I need to bring my own books and yoga mat?
Your training fee includes 2 manuals, a notebook, a pen, and mala beads. However, the books from the reading list are not included and should be purchased beforehand.
We provide high-quality mats and props at the studio, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
Can I take the training even if I don’t want to become a yoga teacher?
Yes! While this is a teacher training, many students join simply to deepen their practice and understanding of yoga rather than to teach. The course covers asana, philosophy, anatomy, alignment, and meditation, making it a valuable experience for personal growth, even if you don’t plan to teach.
By the end of the training, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to lead a class, but whether or not you pursue teaching is completely up to you.
How does the payment process work?
- You can pay by card at the studio if you’re in Bali.
- Otherwise, payments can be made via bank transfer.
- To secure the early-bird price, full payment is required upfront.
What is the food like during the training?
Our training does not include meals.
Students staying at Kolonial House have breakfast included. If you’re not staying at Kolonial House, you still have the option to join the others for breakfast for a small additional cost.
For both breakfast and lunch, we can help organize meals by providing selected menus, with food delivered directly to the shala. In the evenings, students usually explore different restaurants in Sanur. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby.
What is Sanur like as a place to stay?
Sanur is a peaceful, welcoming, and laid-back area of Bali, making it an ideal location for yoga students. It offers a safe and relaxed environment, with quiet streets, a beautiful beachfront, and a friendly local community. Many students enjoy walking, biking, or exploring nearby cafés and shops in their free time. Unlike other parts of Bali, Sanur has a calmer atmosphere, perfect for focusing on your training and unwinding after classes.
Like anywhere, we recommend basic travel precautions, but overall, Sanur is a safe and ideal location for your yoga journey.
What visa should I apply for to join the training?
Most guests join us with a Visa on Arrival (VoA). It is valid for 30 days and can be extended once for another 30 days, giving you a total stay of up to 60 days.
You can get this visa directly at the airport when you arrive in Bali, or apply for it online before your trip. The cost is 500.000 IDR (around 30 USD), and the extension costs the same amount.
If you plan to stay longer than 60 days, you will need to apply for a different visa type, such as a C1 Visit Visa. .
If you’re unsure which visa is best for your plans, you can always reach out to us, we’re happy to help.
